Our promise

A shorter path from soil to shelf.

We work directly with independent farms and homestead kitchens, cutting out the middle steps that fade flavour and raise prices. Every basket carries a story you can trace back to one field.

01

Grown without shortcuts

No synthetic pesticides, no rushed harvests — just organic vegetables picked at their peak. Each grower plans plantings around the season rather than a supermarket order sheet, so flavour and nutrition stay intact.

02

Preserved the old way

Small batches of jams, pickles and preserves made in real homestead kitchens, not factories. Recipes are passed down through families and adjusted only for the fruit that happens to be ripe that week.

03

Packaged with the earth in mind

Reusable jars, compostable wraps and eco-products that leave less behind. Every box that leaves a homestead is designed to be reused, refilled or returned safely to the soil.

04

Priced to keep growers farming

Fair, transparent pricing that reflects real labour and seasonal risk, not a wholesale average. More of what you pay stays with the person who actually grew or preserved it, season after season.

Why Fresh Market Hub

Everything a market stall should be, online.

Certified organic

Every vegetable and herb comes from farms following organic growing practices, verified through on-site visits rather than paperwork alone. We recheck certification each season, not just once at sign-up.

Small-batch preserves

Jams, pickles and chutneys made in limited runs so nothing sits on a shelf too long. Batch sizes rarely exceed what a single kitchen can simmer and hand-seal in a single day.

Seasonal harvest boxes

Curated boxes that shift with the growing calendar, never flown in from afar. What lands in the box this month reflects what is actually ready to pick, not a fixed year-round list.

Eco-products from the homestead

Soaps, wraps and household goods made from natural, biodegradable ingredients. Many are made with offcuts and surplus from the same land that grows our vegetables.

Real market stall partners

We onboard growers already selling at local farmers’ markets, not distant wholesalers. You can meet many of them in person on a Saturday morning, not only through a screen.

Short-mile delivery

Orders travel the shortest possible distance from homestead to your door. Shorter routes mean less packaging, less fuel, and produce that arrives while it is still at its best.

What we bring together

One hub for the whole harvest season.

Sourcing from verified homesteads

Every partner farm is visited and verified before their produce reaches our shelves. We check growing methods, storage and hygiene on site, then repeat the visit every season to keep standards current.

Preserve-making transparency

Recipes, ingredients and batch dates are listed on every jar we sell. You can trace a jar back to the exact kitchen and week it was simmered, right down to the fruit variety used.

Season-first planning

Our catalogue follows the harvest calendar rather than year-round factory farming. That means occasional gaps between harvests, but also means nothing is grown out of season just to fill a shelf.

Community-priced, not wholesale-priced

Prices are set together with growers so a fair wage is built in before a single box ships. That keeps the people supplying your table farming for years, not just for one season.

Behind the jars

Preserves made the way grandparents made them.

Every jar of harvest preserve is simmered in small copper pots, sealed by hand, and labelled with the homestead and the date it was made — no industrial lines, no shortcuts.

Fruit is picked and simmered on the same day, usually within a few hours of harvest.

Sugar and pectin levels are kept low so the fruit itself stays the main flavour.

Jars are sealed by hand and checked individually before they ever leave the kitchen.

Meet our growers
How it works

From homestead to your table in three steps.

1

Choose your harvest

Browse organic vegetables, preserves and eco-products sourced this week. Availability updates through the week as growers report what is ready, so the list stays close to real time.

2

We pack it fresh

Orders are boxed at the homestead the same day, using reusable and compostable materials. Cold items are kept separate from produce that prefers to breathe, so nothing wilts in transit.

3

It arrives at your door

Short-mile delivery or pickup at your nearest partner farmers’ market stall. Drivers follow short, local routes, so most orders complete their entire journey in under a day.

From the market stall

This week’s harvest & preserves.

Box of mixed seasonal vegetables, greens and herbs

Seasonal Vegetable Box

A mixed crate of whatever is ripest this week, picked at sunrise. Expect five to seven varieties, from leafy greens to root vegetables, chosen by the grower rather than a fixed list.

Two jars of golden honey on a wooden bench outdoors

Wildflower Honey Jar

Raw honey from homestead hives, unfiltered and unheated. Flavour shifts gently through the season as bees forage different wildflowers nearby, so no two harvests taste quite the same.

Jar of strawberry preserve beside fresh strawberries

Strawberry Harvest Preserve

Small-batch jam simmered slowly with fruit from our summer rows. Less sugar than a supermarket jar and no added pectin — just fruit, time and a low, steady heat.

Three jars of pickled carrots, cucumbers and peppers

Pickled Garden Vegetables

Crisp cucumbers and carrots brined in a traditional homestead recipe. Fermented over several days for a natural tang, then jarred without any artificial preservatives.

Bar of handmade soap against a white wall

Oat & Lavender Soap

A hand-poured eco-product made with homestead oats and dried lavender. Cold-processed in small batches and cured for four weeks before it ever reaches a box.

Wicker basket of ripe red tomatoes

Heirloom Tomato Basket

A colourful mix of heirloom varieties grown without synthetic feed. Each basket carries three to four varieties selected for flavour first, not shelf life or uniform shape.

Why growers join us

Fair prices for the people who grow and preserve.

Fresh Market Hub keeps commissions low so more of every sale reaches the homestead, not a warehouse.

Direct payments to growers within days, not months. No sitting in a distributor’s ledger waiting for a quarterly settlement.

No exclusivity contracts — sell at your local farmers’ market too. We simply add another outlet for produce you are already growing.

Free listing photography and packaging guidance for every partner homestead. Most growers have never needed a product photo before, so we bring that skill to them at no cost.

Transparent commission, shown up front. You see exactly what we take before you agree to list a single jar, with no hidden platform fees added later.

What customers say

Trusted by home cooks and market regulars alike.

“The vegetable box tastes like it was picked that morning — because it was. Best produce I’ve had delivered, and the crate itself gets reused every week.”

Marcus Webb weekly subscriber

“I love knowing exactly which homestead made my jam. The eco packaging is a lovely touch too, and the batch card inside tells me exactly when it was simmered.”

Priya Nair preserve collector

“Fresh Market Hub feels like visiting the farmers’ market without leaving my kitchen. I’ve found growers I would never have discovered on my own.”

Elena Rossi home cook

“Since switching to the weekly harvest box, I throw away far less food. Everything arrives right at the point of ripeness, not two days before it.”
